Trained as a pianist, Sylvain has been composing his music and songs since 11. A passionate self-taught musician, he refined his craft throughout his teenage years and initiated numerous musical projects as a composer and live show producer. A skilled multi-instrumentalist, he masters the drums, bass, guitar, piano, and synthesizers.
His college-level music studies quickly propelled him into the professional world. Overwhelmed with contracts, he never had the chance to complete his diploma. At just 20 years old, he found himself working alongside renowned artists in both jazz and popular music. His collaborations include Michel Cusson, Michel Donato, Paul Wertico (former drummer of the Pat Metheny Group), Johanne Blouin, Manuel Tadros, Stéphanie Boulay, Brigitte Boisjoli, and many more, taking on roles as pianist, keyboardist, arranger, and musical director.

At the same time, Sylvain pursued his musical projects. He produced six consecutive jazz and jazz-fusion albums, leading him to perform in Europe and Quebec. He then contributed to numerous album productions, both as a musician and a producer. He also composed commissioned music for various projects, including jingles, theme songs, and show scores. His talent has been recognized multiple times at local and national levels, earning him several excellence awards and grants from the Conseil des Arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ) and other cultural organizations
In 2012, he returned to his early influences: rock. He launched an English-language rock music project that took him to California, where he performed at the NAMM convention. In December 2014, he released his second album, It’s Not Over.
The following years were marked by intense musical production. In 2016, he released the instrumental album Piano Works II - Resolution and a French pop/rock EP, Temps d’exil. In 2018, he collaborated with internationally renowned drummer Emmanuelle Caplette on an instrumental fusion/rock album, Size Doesn’t Matter. This project took them to the Czech Republic, where they participated in the Summer Music Camp & Education Festival in Karlovy Vary.
From 2019 to 2021, he developed the Against the Current trilogy, consisting of two EPs and a full-length album. This triptych explores pop/rock and progressive rock sounds while incorporating powerful orchestral arrangements and cinematic-style compositions. In September 2021, he released Letter to My Friend, an album blending sophisticated instrumental compositions with English songs featuring dark atmospheres.
In May 2023, he unveiled Untold Stories, an album with mesmerizing soundscapes serving deep, sometimes dark human narratives, exposing lies and revealing truths. In November 2024, he returns with 2024 - Rock & Other Music, an album mixing songs and instrumental pieces in continuity with his previous works.
As a Canadian music & film music producer, Sylvain holds a continuous work in progress show project called "Tableaux de voyages” that includes Instrumental music, songs and video projections resulting in a unique musical moment with stunning performances et very touching moments. His last 10 albums reunite many music styles from "rock music" to "french songs style" and not to be forgotten, jazz and film music. Instrumental music, songs, and images that tell stories about love, life, revealing the truth, banishing lies and inviting people to live their dreams.

Pianiste de formation, Sylvain compose ses propres musiques et chansons depuis l’âge de 11 ans. Autodidacte passionné, il perfectionne son art tout au long de son adolescence et initie de nombreux projets musicaux, tant comme compositeur que comme producteur de spectacles. Multi-instrumentiste accompli, il maîtrise la batterie, la basse et la guitare, en plus du piano et des claviers synthétiseurs.
Ses études en musique au niveau collégial le propulsent rapidement dans le milieu professionnel. Submergé par les contrats, il n’a jamais l’occasion de compléter son diplôme. À peine âgé d’une vingtaine d’années, il se retrouve à travailler aux côtés d’artistes de renom, que ce soit en jazz ou en musique populaire. Il collabore notamment avec Michel Cusson, Michel Donato, Paul Wertico (ancien batteur du Pat Metheny Group), Johanne Blouin, Manuel Tadros, Stéphanie Boulay, Brigitte Boisjoli et bien d’autres, occupant les rôles de pianiste, claviériste, arrangeur et directeur musical.
Parallèlement, Sylvain poursuit ses propres projets musicaux. Il produit six albums consécutifs de jazz et jazz-fusion, qui l’amènent à se produire en Europe et au Québec. Il participe ensuite à la réalisation de nombreux albums, tant comme musicien que comme producteur. Il compose également des musiques sur commande pour divers projets : jingles, chansons-thèmes, musiques de spectacles, etc. Son talent est maintes fois récompensé à l’échelle locale et nationale, recevant plusieurs prix d’excellence et des bourses du Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ) ainsi que d’autres organismes culturels.

En 2018, il collabore avec la batteuse de renommée internationale Emmanuelle Caplette pour un album fusion/rock instrumental, Size Doesn’t Matter. Ce projet les conduit en République tchèque, où ils participent au Summer Music Camp & Education Festival à Karlovy Vary.
De 2019 à 2021, il conçoit la trilogie Against the Current, composée de deux EP et d’un album complet. Ce triptyque explore des sonorités pop/rock et rock progressif, tout en intégrant des arrangements orchestraux puissants et des musiques à caractère cinématographique. En septembre 2021, il publie Letter to My Friend, un album mêlant compositions instrumentales sophistiquées et chansons anglophones aux atmosphères sombres.
En mai 2023, il dévoile Untold Stories, un album où des ambiances sonores envoûtantes servent des récits humains profonds, parfois sombres, dénonçant le mensonge et révélant des vérités. En novembre 2024, il revient en force avec 2024 - Rock & Other Music, un album mêlant chansons et pièces instrumentales dans la continuité de ses œuvres précédentes.
Sylvain prépare actuellement un nouveau projet centré sur le piano : Piano Works Vol.3. L’année 2025 marquera aussi le lancement de son spectacle Tableaux de voyages, qui combinera musiques instrumentales et chansons, soutenues par des projections vidéo immersives.
